Story
Los Pisingos Foundation was founded in May 1968 by a group of 22 couples who decided to join forces to develop social outreach activities. The Foundation has three programs: Family Support and Strengthening, Specialized Support for Children with Learning Difficulties and Adoptions (roots).
Mano a Mano por La Vida, is a prevention project, framed in the Support and Strengthening of the Family program, where pedagogical, psychological and social accompaniment is provided. This project begins in June 2021, led by the Los Pisingos Foundation and Gabrica SAS from its Social Responsibility area, seeking to address the most priority needs at the community, social and emotional level of populations that are in conditions of socioeconomic vulnerability.
In Mano a Mano por la Vida we provide pedagogical, psychological and social support to 70 children and adolescents and their families in the locality of Usaquén in the neighborhoods of Lomitas, Serrezuela, La Capilla, Codito, Mirador and limits with La Calera belonging to La Aurora. Our children and adolescents are between 11 and 16 years old.

What is done with the money?
Support the pillars of the project by means of pedagogical and educational outings, didactic and recreational material, which allows them to stimulate their learning processes, as well as to acquire new knowledge, as a strategy for them to know their environment, to have contact with reality, to have a meaningful learning, as well as to show our children and adolescents a different environment that allows them to build a life project outside the community where they live.
Direct impact
70 children and adolescents between 9 and 16 years of age, from the locality of Usaquén in the neighborhoods of Lomitas, Serrezuela, La Capilla, Codito, Mirador and limits with La Calera belonging to the La Aurora neighborhood.
